I grew up in Scotland and worked in England as a wooden boatbuilder. It was there that my interest in lutherie began. As a guitar player I was searching for a better acoustic guitar. I soon realised that my budget wouldn't stretch to the sound I was looking for. I decided to build my own. With a good book, a lot of research and solid woodworking skills, my first guitar was born.

It was magic and I was hooked. Since then I have continued to research the craft of lutherie and have been refining my skills and techniques.

My workshop is located in the picturesque town of Bloomfield in Prince Edward County.
